This is one of the most scrumptious ice creams I’ve ever tasted! Seriously. And it’s not toothachingly sweet – believe me.
With this waffer triangle, I think it’s perfect for Fiesta Friday 😉
And to update you guys, I must sadly say that I’ll be wearing a cast for 3 more weeks 😦
DULCE DE LECHE ICE CREAM
INGREDIENTS
375ml milk
400g dulce de leche, divided
125ml double cream or whipping cream
a pinch of salt
METHOD
Heat milk and dulce de leche until it’s completely dissolved, stirring once in a while.
Remove from heat, add cream and salt and leave it in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
Turn on the ice cream maker, pour the mixture into the frozen freezer bowl and let mix until thickened –Â about 30 minutes.
Transfer mixture to an airtight container and put it in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
How did I miss this just apt for the weather and looks so soothing Erika ….

Now this is one for Mr Glam. Did you use condensed milk dulce de leche or from a jar? GG

This time I used from a jar but they both work fine (as long as it’s more on the creamy side). Hope Mr. Glam enjoys it 🙂

Oh Erika, sorry to hear that you have to wear the cast for another 3 weeks. I’ll be praying that those 3 weeks fly by for you, but in the meantime enjoy putting your feet up with a mahoosive tub of this delightful ice cream.
Gotta love dulce de leche. I’ll be posting a recipe on how to make homemade dulce le leche soon, from scratch!! I’ll have to make this ice cream with it after because I can’t think of a more perfect use for it.

Thank you for your kind words Lisa! I can’t wait to hear how you like this ice cream 🙂 I made dulce the leche from scratch once (the milk and sugar process) but it took so long and using the sweetened condensed milk method just scares me 8|
